Dutchess, Erie, Nassau, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tompkins, Ulster, Westchester, and Yates Counties have passed laws banning fracking and /or related activities on county owned lands.
As of the 2010 census, 19,570,261 people live in New York.
