REPORT FROM ALBANY RALLY & MARCH: 8/27/12

Wish you all could have joined us at the Albany rally yesterday. What a beautiful day it was! An estimated 1,000-2,000 people came by bus and auto from all over the state and beyond to exercise our precious right of free speech and non-violent protest. Throughout the early morning drive along the Thruway, we encountered fellow Rochesterians and others from western New York as well as travelers from the Southern Tier and friends from Livingston County and Genesee Valley. Yeah Frack Free Genesee! and congratulations to FFG's Jamie Carestio on his inspiring speech.
The whole day was very well organized from the parking map, rally & march directions and schedule of speakers, to the mounted police escorts, patrol cars and the New Yorkers Against Fracking volunteer "marshalls" who kept the parade momentum going.
